THE MANOIR BRULÉ RETREAT

The Manoir Brulé is a luxurious hunting and fishing lodge located at only 55 miles from Quebec City. We have hunting rights for trophy black bear on both the Beaupré Seigneury private woodlands (400,000 acres) and in the Laurentide Wildlife Reserve (Quebec’s largest wildlife reserve encompassing over 2 million acres of wilderness habitat).

Since acquiring these hunting rights, our 40 hunters have seen well over 150 bears and 95% have had shooting opportunities.  Because of an overabundance of black bears in this area, Government biologists will authorizing a limited number of special 2nd Bear permits for 2010.

During your stay, you can enjoy trout fishing in some of the best lakes in Québec.  You will be staying in the luxurious Manoir Brulé Lodge: around-the-clock electricity, private bathrooms in each room, spacious lounge, etc.  Furthermore, the Manoir Brulé is renowned for its excellent trout fishing.  At this time of the year, the fishing is at its peak.  You can also walk our nature trails and visit the Invented River.  This innovative man-made trout spawning bed represents one of the best trout enhancement projects ever accomplished in Québec and resulted in a tenfold (300-3000) increase in the annual trout harvest in Lake Brulé.

Why not visit the area?  400 year old Québec City is only 75 minutes away.  Scenic Charlevoix region is even closer.  You can take a day trip to Tadoussac and see the whales on the Saint-Lawrence River.
